Is it legal to upgrade my SPBS-R system?

¾As a Property Book Officer, you are ultimately responsible for the SPBS-R Mission, and that has not changed to date.  EVOLUTION systems are based on the ONLY OFFICIAL SPBS-R Multi-User platform selected by Development Center Lee (DCL) in 1992, VirtuOS.

What is the difference between an upgraded system from EVOLUTION and one from Ft. Lee ?

¾EVOLUTION is the only Authorized publisher of VirtuOS V2.41b R05 and above.   Only this family of releases of VirtuOS is Y2K compliant and runs on modern platforms such as PentiumIII and  Pentium 4 based computers.   The last Version of VirtuOS which Ft. Lee is authorized to distribute is Version 2.41a R03 dated back to 1995 which is not Y2K compliant is very unstable on modern computer hardware.

Do I lose my investment in a NEW EVOLUTION Upgrade System when G-Army rolls out?

¾No, the only part of the investment you cannot preserve is that in the VirtuOS software.  The hardware is based ultra-modern, high-performance equipment, which can, at a minimum, be preserved as a WindowsÒ workstation when the new property accountability software rolls out.    Currently, EVOLUTION is assembling turn-key SPBS-R upgrade platforms which are based on hardware at least as performing as that in the current advanced hardware fielding of G-Army.
